Revision ... A delve into the archives

Been having problems with hard drives and trying new software since my last post, having tried ON1 and the new version of ACDSee and after my brief and expensive dalliance with Capture One I am still sticking with Adobe for the time being unless something changes before my current subscription expires.
Having a working hard drive fail is something I have had to deal with around every 18 months or so, fortunately I only lost edited images as I have my RAW files backed up and organised. Checking the new drive has copied everything as it should I have been randomly looking at older shoots again and picked out a few to rework and post on the blog three from 2015 will be published today and later on, the first is with Claire Louise who I have shot a few times this being the the only solo session we had. A glamour session using mainly natural light and portraits shot in the studio processed in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Beth Kate

I have been aware of Beth Kate for some time as she lives not too far from Birmingham and she had a look that suited a style of shoot I have been planning to shoot for some time. Contact was made a shoot was organised and planned quickly. The shoot was in two sections natural light and a studio set. The day of the shoot we had a sunny day which made the light levels and camera settings not too difficult to manage. The images shown here are from those sets as I had a few problems with the studio images technically which will need further work.

Isolation . ... Going through the archives

As I am in week two of twelve of isolation, I am going back into my digital archives starting with 2004 when I first bought a DSLR the images below are of Maria who ended up featuring in a overseas version of Playboy and has long retired. Taken on a late afternoon entirely natural light with two large white polystyrene boards as fill in. The second set were taken in my lounge using a self made background using dyed painters dust sheet lit with Courtney Colorflashes with silver umbrellas.

Michelle Clark Graham Five Years of Collaboration

Another post about a regular collaborator after my previous post about my work with Olga Barrassi, it occurred I have never written or posted about my collaborative shoots with Michelle Clark Graham MUA. we have worked together over five years usually a couple of times a year, having lost all my edited images from previous shoots due a external disk dying on me going through images from previous shoots had proven time consuming and also allows me the opportunity to re-evaluate and have a new attempt at processing images with improved skills. The first time we worked together was 2014 with a model called Oanna who was from Romania, working and living in Birmingham. Later in 2014 we shot around The Custard Factory on a Bank Holiday weekend, the theme being a vintage with models Sarah Jayne Parker and pin up specialist Violet Ecstasy.  Again from 2014 a shoot based on a idea of the make up look from the film Maleficent and a image of the poet Edith Sitwell by the photo...
